Jennifer Barton, Assistant Director

In 2022, Jennifer Barton joined the Board of Pilot Commissioners for the Bays of San Francisco, San Pablo, and Suisun as the Assistant Director. She brings twenty-five years of experience in both the private and government sectors. In the private sector, she provided office management (Brusco Tug & Barge), accounting (Soli-Flo LLP and BMD), and financial statement audit services (KPMG). In 2010, Mrs. Barton began her state career with the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) as a tax auditor. Subsequent to conducting audits, she resolved taxpayer protests as a hearing officer. During the last seven years at FTB, Mrs. Barton served as an administrator, managing a variety of audit and budgetary workloads. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Accounting from the California State University, Sacramento and has held an active CPA license since 2009.
